Analysis of the Effect of Distributed Generation on Loss Reduction in Electrical Distribution Network

Distribution network is said to be the most visual part of electric production and observed by utilities for investment, maintenance operation. The system have been operated under stressed conditions due limited structure increasing day requirement power consumption, which a significant economic social impact on system. Due high resistance impendence ratio, large amount loss occur in network. This severity factors affecting quality delivered end users depend expansion load complexity. Among support methods available minimization distribution network, strategic allocation Distributed Generation (DG) widely considered viable option. DGs are electrical sources connected located consumer’s side but very small when compared with centralized plant. They can form wind, mini-hydro, photovoltaic fuel-based such as fuel cells micro-turbines. Therefore, this study, different approaches incorporation DG various researchers were reviewed.
